Young and energetic London quartet BLOXX has been dubbed one of indie pop's brightest prospects right now, and it's not an over-statement. The band does a great job creating sweet melodies and anthemic, catchy choruses, while still pleasing rock fans with enough energy and punch.
Much like the rest of the band, you can hear lyricist Fee Booth relies on her raw talent and is indeed very capable behind the mic. She probably wouldn't go near an autotuner, which is refreshing in its own right in this artificial day and age.
The band released their debut album Lie Out Loud last year (2020), and is already back with the new tune, Everything I Ever Learned, and it's a real banger, very upbeat and melodic as ever! Love the guitar tone in it as well, almost sounds like a synth lead at times.
Much looking forward to hearing more from BLOXX going forward. Hopefully, the new song is indicative of the sound we can expect an upcoming album further on.
